Immaku.com – The latest report reveals that Sony is currently working on a new smartphone that is allegedly the successor of Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10II. Rumors say that Sony’s newest smartphone will be available in the first quarter of next year.

A user Weibo Also mentioned, Sony will soon release a 5.5-inch compact smartphone in the first half of 2021. The new Sony smartphone is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon chipset with the 775 series. The device is expected to be the cheapest variant of the existing model.

Sony’s compact smartphone will most likely be the Xperia 1 III compact. The Snapdragon 775 chipset will be the successor to the previous generation (Snapdragon 765/765G) which was launched early last year.

No other information is available about the new device. It’s just that if you look at the few leaked specifications, it’s likely that the device will borrow the specifications from the Xperia 1 III. Xperia 1 III itself is expected to be the company’s first cellphone with a Quad Camera configuration.

The Xperia 1 III may be powered by the Snapdragon 690. While the Xperia L5 will be powered by the Helio P35 chipset. The last phone we mentioned will likely go official in Q1 next year.
